House training

When you first bring home that new adorable puppy one of the first things you ask yourself is how you are going to be able to train the dog to not pee or take a poop in your house, how to adapt him/her to other animals in the house, not to tear your furniture or other items up, not to be an aggressive to children, and how to sleep on its own.

One of the first things you want you new dog to learn is who is the alpha male of the house. To do so you don't want to be aggressive but you do want to put your authority out there. When a dog takes an item from your hands without you giving it you must take it back and wait until the dog is calm enough and waits for you to hand the item to them. You must not let the dog control you, you must control the dog and make sure he/her follows your rules.

Another big concern is making sure your dog does not pee or poop in you house. When you first get a dog you want to take the dog out as much as possible and wait for the dog to use the potty. If and it is most likely to happen, the dog uses the restroom in your house make sure not to spank your dog or put his/her face in it and scold them. What you want to do is grab them and show them what they did and tell them it is a wrong thing to do and put the dog outside and wait for them to use the restroom.

When introducing a new animal to your house make sure to bring the other animals to the dog and let them check each other out. You don't want them to get to close but you want them to see each other and sniff a little. When the dog is getting aggressive with them make sure to tell them no and do this everyday until the dog gets used to the other animals.

With young children you will want to do the same as if you were introducing another animal because you don't want to just think your dog knows to to harm or be aggressive around a child.

When you find your new dog chewing at furniture or at items they shouldn't be sure to tell them no and give them a little swat. You will want to keep them away from expensive stuff at first and make sure they have lots of toys to chew on.
